Ceremony of signing support agreement for Croatian Competitiveness Cluster was held in the AD Plastik factory on Jankomir in Zagreb. AD Plastik was chosen to host this event as the most significant factory in Croatia for the production of automotive components as well as a member of the automotive industry cluster.
This year Ministry of Economy has allocated HRK 2 million for the support for Croatian clusters. There are 12 of them in total and they gather about 500 member companies. While signing, minister Vrdoljak emphasized the importance of clustering that can significantly contribute to the development of the economy.
“Clusters are sources of knowledge and they are important for development and competitiveness of all branches and through them and along with other measures I believe that by 2020 the goals of the industrial strategy can be met and 80,000 new people can be employed in the industry,” emphasized Vrdoljak.
President of AD Plastik’s Management Board Marinko Došen spoke to attendees at the very beginning, introducing the company and supporting clustering by emphasizing: „The content of the automotive industry should be more intensively included in the strategy because it can signifcantly contribute to the development of the economy. Czech Republic and Hungary that currently produce more cars than France or Italy can serve as an example.“
At the recently held 10th convention of Croatian exporters, AD Plastik received the „Golden Key“ award for the best exporter to Slovenia for the year 2014. As part of the convention, held in hotel Westin in Zagreb, the traditional awards of the Croatian exporters „Golden key“ were given to the companies with the best exports results in particular markets and according to the size of the company. AD Plastik was nominated in three categories – for the best exporter to France, Slovenia and for the most innovative exporter.
President of the Management Board Marinko Došen received the award on behalf of the company and on that occasion he said: „Each award is a recognition, but also an obligation for the future. We have received a „Golden Key“ award second year in a row, which is an indicator of the continuity of successful business, despite the great difficulties all the exporters in Croatia are facing with and they are listed in „Declaration of Croatian exporters 2015“.
Marinko Došen was appointed new President of the Management Board at the AD Plastik’s Supervisory Board meeting. Former President of the Management Board Mladen Peroš has been revoked at his own request and he shall continue to perform a function of a Management Board member for development and commercial affairs.
Marinko Došen began his career as an intern at the Croatian petrochemical industry DINA-Petrokemija where he performed multiple managerial and executive functions including the post of the President of the Management Board.
He worked as the director of the investment company Coca-Cola Bottling Energy and he managed the construction of several energy projects in the Republic of Hungary. He was the executive director and member of the Management Board of the company Trast, one of the leading logistics companies in Croatia, after which as the President of the Management Board of Mirna Rovinj he managed the project for the operative restructuring of the company. He came to AD Plastik Group in 2012 as a general director of the subsidiary company PHR in Russia.
Marinko Došen was born in 1963 in Rijeka, where he graduated from the Faculty of Engineering and obtained the title mag. ing. mech. He completed an MBA programme at the Zagreb School of Business, orientation Petroleum and he has attended several additional seminars and professional training courses in the country and abroad.
